Fishing Report:
Due to the weather, I have nothing to report. It was a wretched day with heavy fog and steady rain.
You can now buy the 2017 ORV permits from the visitor centers at the Bodie Island Lighthouse, the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and on Ocracoke Island. They are open seven days a week from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
There are two types of permits: 7-day/$50 permits (valid from the date issued) and
Annual/$120 permits. The 2017 annual permit will be valid from the date of purchase through Dec 31, 2017.
My hint of the day. If you have last year’s paper work, take it with you. You can just copy your info quickly for the new permit.
