Fishing Report:
Happy Easter to everyone. It is a beautiful day on the Outer Banks and fishing continues to be more than fair. Bluefish were on all the beaches south of the bridge. Red Drum were at the point. There also were scattered Sea Mullet and Blow Toads. Brian Smith had a good day at ramp 4 landing a Black Drum, Blow toads and Sea Mullet. There were Blues scattered on our beaches. Trout and Sea Mullet as well. John McDonald caught a 20 in Bluefish north of Duck. There is lots of runt Stripers up and down. You can’t keep them, but they are fun to catch. Shrimp seems to be the bait of the day. I just got word there are 3 lb Trout being caught in Kitty Hawk and KDH. Pictures later.

Avalon Pier is having a big Trout bite this morning with several 5 pounders caught. Yesterday they had a phenomenal Sea Mullet day reporting about 5-6 hundred caught in all. OBX Pier has Blow Toads, Skate and Mullet.

Fishing is good on the Little Bridge with anglers catching Drum, Trout, Black Drum, Flounder and Stripers. Darren Day decked a nice 20 in Trout.

The Oregon Inlet fleet caught limits of Yellowfin. Pirates Cove Marina added a 126 lb Mako Shark to the same report. Near shore boats had a good day decking Albacore, Shark and Bluefish. Open boats fishing inshore reported Bluefish and Drum.

The winds are SW at 15 and the water is 50 degrees. Sunny, small swells, windy.
