Surf Fishing Report:
There was a 70 lb Cobia caught at the Point. A Cobia caught from the surf is always exciting news and so is a Bluefish Blitz and the point had one late afternoon. There were Sea Mullet along the beaches. North of the bridge there were Bluefish and Sea Mullet scattered along the beaches.

 

The winds are SW at 8 and the water temp is 62 degrees. Sunny, mild winds and small surf.

 

Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported a little slow but catching some Black Drum, Stripers and a few keeper Trout.
 

 

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Bluefish.

Nags Head: Blues and Trout.

Jennette’s: Sea Mullet and nice size Bluefish.

Outer Banks: Sea Mullet and Bluefish.

 

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Inshore charters reported good Speckle Trout, some keeper Flounder, lots of sound Stripers and Puppy Drum. Cobia were caught nearshore. Miss Oregon Inlet anglers enjoyed catching Sea Mullet, Croaker, Flounder and Pigs.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
The boats caught an abundance of Yellowfin, Dolphin and some Blackfin. An 87 lb citation Yellowfin was also caught. There was a White and Blue Marlin released as well.
