In Summary:

 

Surf Fishing Report:

Surf fishing continues to be slow. A few sharks were reported at the point and Frisco beach had Sea Mullet. On this side of the bridge there were Skate,  Puppy Drum, Trout and Sea Mullet.

A reminder, the big annual tent sale is going in our Nags Head parking lot as I speak.

 

The winds are SE at 6 and the water temp is 74 degrees. Cloudy, calm winds. Clear water, choppy surf.

 

Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported good bottom fishing catching Spot, Black Drum, Puppy Drum some Trout and Stripers.

 

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Sea Mullet, Trout, Cobia and Bluefish.

Nags Head: Spanish and Bluefish.

Jennette’s: Triggerfish, Spanish, Spadefish and a 16 in Flounder.

Outer Banks: Spanish, Blues, Trout, Sea Mullet

 

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Nearshore anglers caught a slew of Spanish, some Bluefish, Amberjacks, Triggerfish, and Shark. Trout fishing was good for inshore boaters. With some boaters limiting out. Also Flounder, Sea Mullet and Triggers. Miss Oregon Inlet headboat had good catches of Trout, Sea Mullet, Flounder, Sea Bass, Croaker, Pins and Pigs.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
Another day of good Tuna and Dolphin action with some Sharks. There were some very large Bigeye and Blue Marlin releases as well.
