In Summary:

 

Surf Fishing Report:

A few Croakers, Sea Mullet and Puppy Drum in S. Nags Head. Overall surf fishing and pier fishing has been slow this week. It can’t last forever.

 

The winds are SW at 19 and the water temp is 63 degrees. Sunny, small swell, windy.

 

Sound Fishing Report:

The anglers fishing Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway are catching Trout and Flounder this morning. Had a good day yesterday catching Striper, Black Drum Croakers, and keeper Flounder and keeper Trout. The Wild Life Pier across from Pirates Cove also had the same luck.

 

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Sea Mullet

Nags Head: Spot.

Jennette’s: Croaker and Sand Perch

Outer Banks: Sand Perch.

 

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Nearshore had a great day catching and releasing citation Red Drum, and again catching plenty King Macs and Spanish. Albacore and Bluefish were also reported. Trout fishing was good inshore.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
The Big-eye Tuna fishing was outstanding yesterday. The largest weighing in at 150 lbs. There were good numbers of Yellowfin and Dolphin.  Wahoo caught as well with one weighing 72 lbs. Also Sailfish releases.
