There was a 5 lb Black Drum, Gray Trout and a 15 in Flounder caught at the Point. Also Sea Mullet, Bluefish and Blowtoads caught from the beaches in Buxton. The same for Frisco and Hatteras.

I am pleased to get news from our beaches. It was slow coming. As the water warms it should improve pretty steady.

Buddy Branner let me know there is some action at ramp 4. He caught a Striper and a Trout.

Joanne Torrence caught a nice Trout from the Nags Head beach. She thinks it’s a good sign for what’s to come.

Another nice size Sea Mullet caught in Duck was reported by Phyllis Steinhauer.

Stripers and Trout are at the Little Bridge

OBX Pier is catching Sea Mullet and Gray Trout this morning. Nothing happening at Avalon this morning but had a good Trout day yesterday. One weighed in at 3 ½ lbs.

Inshore boats caught some keeper Trout and released some Stripers. Also there is a report of good Striper fishing at the Mann’s Harbor Bridge.

Oregon Inlet had 16 boats fishing yesterday. They caught a tremendous amount of Yellowfin, big Gaffer Dolphin, some citation size Black fin and Wahoo. A Sailfish was released.

The winds are N at 19 and the water temp is 57 degrees. Sun is shining, chilly morning and rough water.
