In Summary:

 

Surf Fishing Report:

Fishing was overall slow. The conditions have improved some since yesterday. There should be some Bluefish and bottom fish caught.

 

The winds are NE at 6 and the water temp is 73 degrees. Light winds, choppy water, sunny.

 

Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported some keeper Trout, nice size Spot, small Flounder and Croakers.

 

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: few Blues and a few Spadefish.

Nags Head: Some Blues from the end of the pier on gotcha’s.

Jennette’s: Bluefish, Flounder, Sand Perch and Sea Mullet.

Outer Banks: Mullet and Croaker.

 

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Despite the choppy water conditions the nearshore fleet had a good day catching Spanish, Albacore, Amberjacks, Triggers, Bluefish and Red Drum releases. The inshore anglers also had Red Drum releases, and had fantastic Trout fishing, some Flounder and Sea Mullet.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
A variety of fish were thrown on the docks yesterday.  There were Yellowfin, some Blackfin, Trophy size Big-eye, citation Wahoo and Dolphin as well. Also some White Marlin releases.
