In Summary:
Surf Fishing Report:
The surf fishing anglers caught a few scattered small Bluefish. With any luck this NE wind will stir up some better fishing.
The winds are NE at 18 and the water temp is 71 degrees. Partly cloudy, strong winds, sloppy swells.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported small Trout and bottom fish.
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Bluefish and Spot.
Nags Head: Bluefish and Albacore.
Jennette’s: Bluefish and Spot.
Outer Banks: Slow start.
Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:
Nearshore boats caught Spanish and Bluefish along the beaches and Tilefish. Inshore anglers had good catches of Drum, Trout and Flounder.
Offshore Boats Report:
Sport fishing is good. There were plenty Billfish releases. The Tuna fish was fair, Dolphin were caught and some Wahoo.
