Surf Fishing Report:

Yesterday’s weather did not turn out as predicted. As one Pier said this morning they should not have closed. The sun came out after lunch and it was a beautiful afternoon. The conditions started to deteriorate after 7 and we had 55 mph winds before the night ended.

With all the rough conditions, there was a Puppy Drum, a Pompano and a Sea Mullet caught from OBX Pier doing the brief period of sunshine.  I received an e-mail from Stan who fished both days catching 2 Bluefish from MPH 17 Mon and a Pompano and Sea Mullet Tues from the high seas. Go figure.

A few anglers fishing the little Bridge caught Croakers, Trout and Stripers. The Wild Life pier and Little Bridge is still your best bet again today. Or you could join Stan at MPH 17 and try your luck.

The winds are NW at 15 and the water temp is 75 degrees. Partly cloudy, large messy swells and windy.
