In Summary:

 

Surf Fishing Report:

Surf fishing is slow. There should be some Spot and Bluefish caught today from the beach. The water has cleared up nicely, quicker than expected.  

 

The winds are NW at 2 and the water temp is 76 degrees. Cloudy, light winds, clean surfing swells.

 

Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported a few keeper Trout, small Puppy Drum, Flounder and bottom fish.

 

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Spot.

Nags Head: Spot.

Jennette’s: Gray Trout, Small Flounder, small Puppy Drum and Spot.

Outer Banks: Some Pompano, Flounder and Bluefish off the end.

 

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Nearshore charters fished the inlet and caught Bluefish and Spanish. Inshore anglers limited out on Trout and Puppy Drum. The Headboat fished and reported Puffers, Bluefish, Spot, Sea Bass, Croaker, Flounder and Sea Mullet.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
A few boats sailed and had great catches of Dolphin, some Blackfin and also had some white flags flying.
