In Summary:

 

Surf Fishing Report:

A beautiful Labor day on Outer Banks and fishing ain’t bad either. There were a few Puppy Drum, Sea Mullet, Bluefish and a good amount of Pompano.

 

The winds are SW at 12 and the water temp is 75 degrees. Sunny, light winds, flat ocean, water is murking up.

 

Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Drum, Trout, and Croakers.

 

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Bluefish and Spanish.

Nags Head: Slow.

Jennette’s: Sheepshead, Bluefish, Sea Mullet and a 16 in puppy Drum

Outer Banks: Blues and Sea Mullet.

 

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

The Nearshore boats caught limits of Spanish and Bluefish. Trout fishing is exceptional with inshore catching their limits of Trout plus Drum.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
Mahi, Blackfin and Yellowfin were brought back to the docks with some Billfish flags flying as well.
