In Summary:

 

Surf Fishing Report:

Some Puppy Drum were reported caught and a few small bluefish.

 

The winds are NE at 14 and the water temp is 75 degrees. Rough water, rip currents, red flags, windy, cloudy.

 

Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported small Trout and Drum.

Durand Beasley caught his mess of fish yak fishing behind the Lone Cedar restaurant. He said the New penny Z mans were the ticket. Tracy Sawyer was also fishing the same area. There is a convenient launch site on the south side of the causeway across from Pirates Cove for Kayaks.  

 

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: nothing.

Nags Head: Small Bluefish.

Jennette’s: Sand Perch and Bluefish.

Outer Banks: Hard to catch a fish when you can’t hold bottom.

 

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Nothing to report nearshore but inshore fishing is phenomenal with anglers catching Drum, Specks and Flounder.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
For the boats that fished yesterday, it was a great Mahi day with them catching their limits. There were also plenty Blue and White flags flying.
