In Summary:

 

Surf Fishing Report:

A beautiful day on the Outer Banks with no wind. You don’ t see that too often. Surf fishing is slow, mostly because the lack of fishermen. There should be some Bluefish, Black Drum and Sea Mullet caught.

 

The winds are SE at 1 and the water temp is 71 degrees. Large clean swells, sunny day.

 

Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported some Trout, Drum and Stripers.

 

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Spanish, Black Drum, Sea Mullet, Bluefish and 1 Red Drum.

Nags Head: Bluefish and Spot.

Jennette’s: Bluefish and lost a couple nice Puppy Drum.

Outer Banks: Slow.

 

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Nearshore and inshore caught good numbers of sound Stripers plus plenty Trout, Drum, Flounder.

 

Offshore Boats Report:

The offshore fleet had good catches of Yellowfin, some Mahi, some Blackfin and a couple of Wahoo. There were 3 White Marlin releases as well.
