In Summary:

 

Surf Fishing Report:

It is good to see some rod bending action from the surf. Anglers are catching Puppy Drum, Trout, small Bluefish, and small bottom fish. A beautiful weekend on the OBX.

 

The winds are NW at 4 and the water temp is 69 degrees. Sunny, no wind and small swells.

 

Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported some keeper Puppies and Trout this morning and the small stuff.

 

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Small Trout, Bluefish and Pompano.

Nags Head: Trout and nice Bluefish.

Jennette’s: Spot, Pompano, Flounder, Sea Mullet and Black Drum.

Outer Banks: Bluefish, Pompano, Trout, Sea Mullet and 1 Spanish.

 

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Nearshore fishing also improved with anglers catching Bluefish, Albacore, King Mackerel and Amberjack. Sound fishing could hardly get any better than it has been this year. Plenty Trout, Drum, Stripers and Flounder.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
The offshore fleet was more than ready to have a good offshore day. There were meat fish grand slams consisting of Wahoo, Blackfin, Yellowfin and Dolphin.  There was also a Blue Marlin and a Sailfish release.
