In Summary:

 

Surf Fishing Report:

The rods are bending all up and down the beaches. Drum bite is good. Brad Howard said it was an exceptional day at Oregon Inlet for he and his fishing buddies catching Drum. Anglers are also adding Bluefish and Trout to the mix.

 

The winds are NE at 20 and the water temp is 67 degrees. Overcast, windy, rough Ocean.

 

Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported good Trout and Drum fishing, also Rockfish.

 

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Albacore.

Nags Head: Blues.

Jennette’s: Blues and 1 big Drum.

Outer Banks: Blues and Trout.

 

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Nearshore had a fantastic King Mackerel day catching great numbers in the 25 lb range, Mahi and False Albacore.  Inshore Anglers decked plenty Trout and Drum, some Flounder and Stripers.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
The offshore fleet caught good numbers of Yellowfin, few Blackfin and some Mahi. There were also White Marlin releases.
