Fishing Report:
Fishing was slow yesterday with the chilly NE high winds. There were some Puppy Drum, Croakers and Spot scattered on the beaches. Bluefish, Sea Mullet and 7 ft Shark were caught at the Point.
The Little Bridge decked some Stripers, Trout, Spot, Pinfish and plenty Catfish over the weekend.
As for the piers, Keep in mind I write the fishing report early morning and the news usually is slow at this time of the year. OBX had a big run of Bluefish Sat and Sunday late day. All the Piers caught some Sea Mullet, Trout, Blues some Spot, Shad and Stripers at one time or the other doing the weekend. This morning Avalon Pier is catching some Trout and Shad. Nags Head and OBX are catching Blues. Jennette’s has Puffers.
The gusting winds up to 30 mph kept the fleet in the creek yesterday.
