In Summary:

Surf Fishing Report:
Sunday began with some heavy rains but enough clearing for a few fish to be caught. Big Bluefish were reported up to 14 lbs, a couple of big Drum and Sharks. Also some Puppy Drum and Sea Mullet on the Buxton beaches. There were a few Puppy Drum reported on this side of the bridge this weekend and that’s definitely good news. Caroline Blowe caught and released a large Black Drum at the Inlet. Regulation size for a Black Drum is 14”-25” and a person can keep one/day over 25”.

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported Trout, Stripers, a keeper Black Drum and a keeper Flounder this very foggy morning.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Blues, Puppy Drum and Trout.
Nags Head: Slow.
Jennette’s: Tailor Blues.
Outer Banks: 24” Black Drum, Puppy Drum and Sea Mullet.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:
No report.

Offshore Boats Report:
It was a bumpy ride for the fleet but they brought in a fair amount of Yellowfin, Blackfin and Mahi. There was also a citation 118# Big-eye caught. Leonard McNulty sent word he had a good weekend catching 3 big-eyes, Yellowfin and some gaffers.

The winds are NE at 8 and the water temp is 53 degrees. Cloudy, choppy Ocean.
