Surf Fishing Report:
Sunday was a wretched day. Rain all day. Hatteras got 6 in. That’s a lot of water. There were scattered Sea Mullet on the beaches doing the weekend. A 68 lb Cobia released at ramp 44 yesterday.

The winds are NE at 5 and the water temp is 59 degrees. Small swells, glassy water, light winds, heavy fog on piers.


Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge anglers on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway caught small Trout and Black Drum this weekend.
Victoria Johnson fished the sound in Manns Harbor yesterday and caught a keeper Trout.


Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Small Mullet, some Trout.

Nags Head: Fishing is good, Blues, Sea Mullet and Trout

Jennette’s: Sea Mullet and Bluefish.

Outer Banks: Sea Mullet.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:
Despite the weather, an inshore boat fished and caught many Spanish and some Cobia.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
Offshore charters had no problem finding the Dolphin and a huge 64 lb Dolphin was caught by Allan Tauchen.  There were plenty of Yellowfin as well.
