Surf Fishing Report:
You could not ask for better weather on this Labor Day weekend. The wind is NW this morning and we have some fairly nice swells for the OBX Pro surfing finals south of Jennette’s Pier.
There were Bluefish, Spanish and Pompano reported on the south beaches. All 3 species are clear water fish and we have had a beautiful Ocean this week. A few Pompano and Bluefish are scattered on beaches.

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported some bottom fish, overall slow.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Early Spanish and Blues.
Nags Head: Spanish and Blues. Spot are biting blood worms.
Jennette’s: Blues and Spanish.
Outer Banks: Spanish and Bluefish early, Sea Mullet, Spade fish and Pompano.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:
The Spanish bite has been excellent, False Albacore is good and so are the Bluefish for nearshore. Inshore have Flounder, Bluefish and Triggers.

Offshore Boats Report:
The Yellowfin are returning slowly. Blackfin and Dolphin were also brought back to the docks. There was also a Blue Marlin release.

The winds are NW at 6 and the water temp is 76 degrees. Sunny, nice swells, light winds.
