Surf Fishing Report:
We have had a beautiful weekend on this sand bar. The sun was shining, the winds were light and the fishing was good.
There were Bluefish and Sea Mullet on the Hatteras Island beaches with some Spot and Pompano scattered. The point reported a 53.8# Cobia hooked and some Puppy Drum, Spanish and Bluefish. The fishing was steady north of the inlet with anglers catching Sea Mullet, Pompano, Bluefish and there are Trout.

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported catching Trout 18 to 20 inches, Stripers, Spot and Croakers.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Bluefish, Spanish, and Spot.
Nags Head: Bluefish and Spanish.
Jennette’s: Bluefish, Black Drum, Speckle Trout, and Puffers.
Outer Banks: Black Drum, Pompano, Bluefish and Spot, all small.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:
Fishing was good for nearshore anglers catching Spanish, Bluefish, King Mackerel and also Albacore. Inshore reported nice Trout and some large Drum.

Offshore Boats Report:
Dolphin catches were outstanding, Blackfin were plentiful and Shark were also caught. But Bill fish were over the top with the catch and release of 36 white Marlin with one boat alone catching 15, 2 Blue Marlin and 3 Sailfish.

The winds are N at 8 and the water temp is 79 degrees. Sunny, light winds, another good surfing day with nice swells and the surf surfers are out early.
