Surf Fishing Report:
Sea Mullet, Bluefish and a few Croaker are scattered up and down our beaches.

Matt Thalman caught a 22 in Black Drum using Sand Fleas bought from TW’s for bait. The slot size for Black Drum is 14-25” TL.

The winds are NW at 7 and the water temp is 70 degrees. Light winds, waters murky, small surf and sunshine.


Sound Fishing Report:

The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported lots of Black Drum yesterday with plenty of bottom and Stripers on lures. The Striper bite is the same today.

Zeke Simpson and German Shepherd Zeus were fishing near Wanchese and caught and released a Striper. Didn’t measure but guessing about 7 lbs.


Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Bluefish and Sea Mullet.

Nags Head: Sea mullet, Blues and some Trout.

Jennette’s: Good run of Bluefish. A few Spanish, a False Albacore and small Flounder.

Outer Banks: Sea Mullet and tons of Blues, Spanish and Croaker.

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:

Inshore anglers had another good Bluefish day and released some Cobia, Sharks and Stripers. Nearshore and Inshore boats had good Cobia action. The Headboat reported Puffers, Sea Mullet, Bluefish and Sea Bass and Flounder releases.

 

Offshore Boats Report:
The fleet found the Yellowfin, caught their limits and also caught a 90 lb citation. There were good Dolphin catches, some Blackfin, a Mako, Bonita and a citation 47 lb Wahoo.
