Did someone say there was Drum bite??? If you wanted to hook up to a Drum from the pier, this was your weekend! From Rodanthe pier to Nags Head pier and the piers in between, lots of Drum were caught! If this is any indication of how the start of Fall is going to look, we’re excited!
Lots of anglers spent their weekend at the end of the piers hooking up to big Drum, but that wasn’t your only chance of a Drum bite. There were plenty of Drum caught inshore and nearshore as well!
The inshore bite was good for big Drum, but there were also reports of Puppy Drum, Trout, Bluefish, and Flounder. Today was the last day of Flounder season and we are thrilled that some of y’all got your doormat!
Unfortunately, the weather has kept the offshore fleet at the docks, but hopefully when the wind lays out later this week they can get back out!
