Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf

Hurricane Helene has made things a bit interesting, but fortunately for our area the effects have been minimal and didn’t last too long.

The piers have had some unusual catches recently, with reports of Sea Mullet, Spot, Croaker, and some Pompano! Who would have thought these conditions would be favorable for Pompano? Hopefully, we’ll see some more drum soon.

The surf fishing conditions have been pretty intense this week making it difficult for anglers to hold bottom. Similar to the pier, surf fishing anglers caught Sea Mullet, Croaker, and Puppy Drum.

Offshore fishing has been productive for Marlin fishing! Lots of White Marlin flags have been flying, but boats are also targeting good reports of meat fish as well
