We have been hard at work getting the shop ready for you for Memorial Day, but we are stoked on the fish y’all have been putting in the coolers the last few days!

With slick calm conditions, sunny skies, and warm temperatures, I don’t think we would have asked for better conditions than what we saw today! Lots of boats have been out venturing in search of Cobia! @fowlhookedsportfishing and @missbanxfishingcharters had a successful day while @outcastfishingobx found some as well.

If boats didn’t stay nearshore, they scooted further out in search of Tuna! @finplannersportfishing navigated the fog yesterday, but boy it was worth it!!

Surf fishing and pier fishing anglers continue to see Bluefish, Sea Mullet, and various sizes of Drum. Shop employee Lana @lana_noonan15 had a fun morning catching this 2lb.+ Spanish off of Outer Banks Pier! She saw quite a few Bluefish caught along with a few other Spanish as well! The Sheephead have been sporadic, but stop by and get some Fiddler Crabs and head down to the Bonner Bridge Pier.

Trout fishing continues to be steady in the sound! There have been reports of some Bluefish and Puppy Drum with a few Flounder mixed in as well. The Little Bridge has been a popular spot early morning and late evenings! If you’re looking for some rigs or fresh mullet, be sure to stop by on your way south.
