The last few days have continued to be a pretty good start to typical summer fishing on the Outer Banks!

Surf fishing and pier fishing were productive for those fishing this weekend even with the steady wind and a few clouds. There were quite a few reports of some nice Drum and good Sea Mullet fishing on the southern beaches. There was some good surf fishing on the northern beaches as well. Check out Shawn Byrne with a 23” black drum caught in Southern Shores! There were a few Cobia caught on the piers over the weekend. The Bonner Bridge had some good reports of Drum, Bluefish and Sheepshead.

Soundside charters have been catching a lot of Trout and Bluefish. Stefan Turko won the SPECKtacular Tournament over the weekend with a Trout weighing in over 6lbs+
We’re expecting some great conditions later in the week and over the holiday weekend! Hopefully we’ll see some more Cobia and Spanish near shore and some better surf fishing conditions as the week goes on.

Offshore boats that made it out had good Tuna and Tile fishing with good Blue Marlin and Dolphin fishing as well. Sea Toy out of Pirates Cove took home the win for the Hatteras Village Offshore Open over the weekend! Congrats!
