Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

It’s been a gorgeous start to the first weekend of October! Hopefully, you were able to get on some fish today!

We’ve heard of lots of action the last few days from the surf, sound, and piers! Locally, we’ve  been experiencing similar weather conditions throughout the last month, which has lead to  consistent as well as similar reports. In the surf, Bluefish, Drum, Spot, Croaker, Pompano, and Sea Mullet continue to be caught. Looking at the current forecast for this week, it might be on the rougher side, but it will be fishable! We have plenty of sinkers to help!

The piers have been catching much of the same as the surf fishing anglers with the addition of Flounder, small Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, and Sand Perch was also reported today on Jennette’s Pier. The Drum action has been good on the piers when they’re biting!

With as many Fiddler Crabs that have been going out the door, there are still Sheepshead to be caught. Inshore fishing has been decent Speckled Trout, Puppy Drum, big Drum, Sheepshead and a few Flounder.

Manteo Rotary Club hosted their 27th Annual Inshore Slam today and we are excited to announce one of our Trusted Captains as their winner! Congratulations to Brian King with @reelisticfishingcharters on your win!

Offshore fishing conditions continue to be favorable for billfish fishing. @finplannersportfishing has come back to the docks with flags flying! There are still nice catches of White Marlin, Mahi, and Wahoo.
