The ocean has calmed down once again and the fish are back to biting! Good reports of Drum and Speckled Trout in the surf, and from the piers. In the surf we have also had reports of Bluefish, Sea Mullet, and small Flounder. Sounds like there was a decent amount of fish caught in today's session of the Nags Head Surf Fishing Tournament.
Lots of Big Drum on the piers the past few days. From Avalon down to Avon each pier has had a handful of fish. Along with the Drum we have received good reports of Bluefish, Speckled Trout, and Sharks.
In the sound not much has changed, anglers are still finding decent amounts of Drum, Trout, Flounder and Bluefish.
Quite a few boats made it out offshore today. We have heard early reports of some Tuna and Dolphin being caught! We will hopefully have more to report from offshore this afternoon or tomorrow!
