There is lots of good fishing to be had on the beach right now! Big Bluefish, Puppy Drum, Sea Mullet, Black Drum, Speckled Trout, and a few Big Striper! We also heard reports of some Spanish Mackerel and a Cobia caught from the beach down on Ocracoke!
The piers have been reporting Puppy Drum, Bluefish, and a lot of Sea Mullet. Jennettes Pier reported water temps near 60 degrees this morning.
On the sound side, the Drum fishing near the inlet has been good with a few schools of over slot sized fish. We have also received good reports of Bluefish up to 6 lbs and some decent numbers of Speckled Trout.
Offshore has been beautiful the last couple of days, and boats have reported Yellowfin Tuna, Dolphin, Wahoo, King Mackerel, and a couple of Billfish.
