We’re in the dog days of summer and fishing! Surf fishing anglers are catching Spot, Sea Mullet, Bluefish, some Pompano and Puppy Drum mainly on the southern beaches these past few days. The recent high temperatures and wind have made it tricky, but we are excited for the upcoming forecast at the end of the week and weekend. It’s shaping up to have some great conditions! Also, we’ve heard reports of some Spanish and Blues off the piers and we are still seeing some great nightly shark fishing action on the beach.

We’re stoked to see so many young anglers sharing their catches with us before they return to school!

The near shore boats have been steadily getting Amberjacks, Ribbons, Spanish and Big Reds. The soundside inshore fleet has been continuing their great luck on puppy drum, speckled trout, sheepshead and even some schoolie stripers. I know these guys can't wait for Flounder season to open up because we've been told they are waiting for us to get back to feeding them!

It was an exciting day to be tuned into Pirates Cove Billfish Tournament radio. Over 200 billfish releases mostly Sailfish, some Blue Marlin and White Marlin. The offshore fleet also had some decent catches of Mahi-Mahi, Tunas and Wahoo.

It looks like we have a great weekend forecast on tap and we hope the great fishing continues as it did today for all the PCBT anglers and rest of the offshore fleet. We look forward to seeing y'all out here!
