As expected we had a fantastic with the weather and fish cooperating! More King Mackerel for the guys fishing the piers along with Blues, Spanish, Spot, Sea Mullet and Big Sharks. We've seen some more Puppy Drum being caught along the beaches along with Sea Mullet, Blues and some Pompano.
Soundside fishing continues to be the better bet for the bigger class of fish. More Speckled Trout, Flounder, Sheepshead, and Drum of all sizes are being caught by folks on the boats, bridges or wade fishing. We've heard of some Trout starting to consistently be caught off the Little Bridge and there's been a lot of drum for the guys wade fishing areas south of Oregon Inlet. Stop by the shop and we'd be happy to help you get rigged up and give you some of those soundside spots to try!
Congrats to all the top boats from the Pirates Cove Billfish Tournament and those who continue the good fishing now that it's over. Along with a lot of Sails, and some Blue Marlin there has been Dolphins, Blackfin and Wahoo.
