Nice Sized Bluefish
The weather sure hasn’t been what we’d like it to be for the end of April, but at least the fishing was good this weekend.
There were good reports of Drum being caught at the Point over the weekend! If you weren’t there you definitely missed out. However, Freddie Kuhn caught a 32in Drum on Jennette’s Pier this morning. Hopefully, we’ll continue to see more Drum bites up this way! There are still Blowtoads, Trout, and Bluefish being caught in the surf as well!
In the Sound, we had reports of some nice sized Bluefish. Fisher Midgett caught a 24.5 incher which puts him the lead for the Bluefish category in our Coastal Angler Series. There were Trout and Puppy Drum caught over the weekend as well. Sadie, 11 years old, was excited about her Puppy Drum caught in Point Harbor! @saltywaterobxfishing and @rrhotography got the kids out on the water and caught several nice Trout!
While it was a little choppy, the offshore boats came back with Yellowfins and Dolphins.
It’s still Turkey season here in eastern NC and Parker Overton got after one this weekend! Nice job Parker!!
