Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

It was a great week with nice weather and even better fishing!

Trout fishing on the beach has really taken off this week, however if you see the sun you’re probably a little late or too early. Dawn and dusk have been the most productive times of day on the surf. There have been some Puppy Drum, Puffers and Sea Mullet as well. You still may hook up to a Skate or Dogfish, but it’s definitely worth a shot to get out there!

Sounside, there have been reports of nice sized Trout as well. Paul Browns, DOA, Voodoo Shrimps, Mirrorlures and even Nomad Squidtrex are only a few of the artificials that have been working for the Trout. Stop by and check out our selection!

They are still  catching Puppy Drum in the sound too. Cut bait and Johnson’s gold spoons have been productive when targeting Puppy Drum. We have fresh mullet! Stop by and get loaded up before you head out this weekend!

Freshwater fishing has also been steady with reports of Bass, Catfish, and Crappie.

The Yellowfin fishing offshore has been pretty epic this week.
