Red Drum continue to be the highlight of the Surf and Pier side of the fishing report! Plenty of Big Drum from one end of the Outer Banks to the other in the ocean and all over in the sound! We even have a new Leader in the Drum Tournament, Fisher Midgett with a 45 1/4 inch Drum caught in the sound!
Soundside, along with all of the Drum, anglers are finding Speckled Trout, Sheepshead, Bluefish, Sea Mullet, Flounder and Croakers.
From the Piers and in the Surf anglers are reporting similar catches including Red Drum of all sizes, Bluefish up to 5 lbs, Spot, Sea Mullet, Spanish Mackerel, and Pompano. We also received a report this morning there were some good size Speckled Trout beginning to show up in the surf!
Offshore has been good since the storm with boats bringing in Blackfin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Dolphin, and Wahoo. Marlin fishing had been spotty, but there are still plenty around!
