Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

It may have been a few days since our last fishing report, but that doesn’t mean fish haven’t been being caught!

It was a productive weekend even with some windy conditions. Sheepshead and Trout fishing have been popular for most anglers. The Sheepshead have finally picked up around the bridges and pilings. Richard Probst caught a few nice ones today! Trout fishing continues to be fantastic. There are still a few Bluefish and Puppy Drum being caught in the sound too! Maddox Stine from Waynesboro, PA caught a nice Puppy Drum in the sound! @saltywatersobxfishing  and @mott_ridge_charters have been busy catching nice Trout and Puppy Drum lately!

Surf fishing has been good for Sea Mullet, Bluefish, Puppy Drum, and Spot. Max and Ella from Pittsburgh stopped by the Kitty Hawk store to weigh their 1.45lb. And 2.1lb. citation last week! Pier fishing has been the spot for Sheepshead, Spot, and Sea Mullet.

The offshore boats have been catching lots of Dolphin with some scattered Tunas and Wahoo. Hopefully we’ll see some more billfish in the coming days! We heard a few reports of boats finding some today!
