Puppy Drum, Speckled Trout, and Croaker
We’ve helped quite a few customers get on the fish in between prepping for our 44th annual Oyster Roast and gearing up for our Thanksgiving Sale! We hope to see you Saturday from 1-5PM for our customer appreciation event!
It has been good Black Drum, Puppy Drum, Bluefish, Sea Mullet, and Croaker fishing from the surf. There are a few Rays, Dogfish, and Sharks biting too, but if you find the right spot you’ll have productive fishing. Leroy Hyson came in the morning for some fresh bait in search of the Black Drum bite, but was able to hook up on some Puppy Drum!
Pier fishing anglers have reported similar bites with catches including Sea Mullet, Speckled Trout, and Puppy Drum. The Speckled Trout bite has been difficult compared to what we typically see this time of year, but hopefully we’ll continue to see more and more Oceanside.
Inshore fishing is still good Puppy Drum and Speckled Trout fishing as well. While most Trout are being caught inland and further SW, there are still some being out in our local waters as well. Mike caught himself a citation 5lb 10oz Trout yesterday morning in the sound!
Duck hunting continues to be another rewarding outdoor adventure for this time of year! Shop employees Tanner and Cameron have had a few exciting mornings this season already!
