Soundside, Nearshore, and Inshore Has Been Excellent
We’ve had quite a warm start to the week, but the fishing continues to be hot!
Soundside, inshore, and nearshore fishing has been excellent. Trout fishing in the sound seems to be the best it’s ever been all over! @saltywatersobxfishing caught some this week! There has also been great reports of Puppy Drum, Trout, a few stud Sheepshead, Spanish and Bluefish around as well. @absolut_charters had a young angler who had a blast catching nice Puppy Drum and while others were able to find a few bigger Drum as well. @doacharters didn’t hold back either with a nice trip on the water catching some Drum in a nice little school of fish. @missbanxfishingcharters caught plenty of Spanish. @outcastfishingobx caught nice Sheepshead as well. We even weighed a few Sheepshead this week with a nice 11lber.
Offshore fishing has started to light up with the occasional Blue Marlin, a couple of Sailfish, and some huge Tuna. Check out the Tuna @afishionadocharters caught last week! Don’t worry, the Dolphin bite is also fantastic!! @captbc_sportfishing We’ve also heard of plenty of reports of bailers and some real nice gaffers mixed in. All of the boats headed out of Oregon Inlet have been doing fantastic fishing!
