It’s been a chilly week, but that doesn’t mean the anglers and hunters weren’t out there!
Inshore fishing has been good with Speckled Trout and a few Puppy Drum being caught. Surf fishing has been slow on the northern beaches, but you may have better luck further south. Offshore reports have been pretty quiet. Not too many boats heading out since it’s been blowing.
Congratulations to Donnie White for setting a new state record for his 2lb. 8oz. White Perch caught in the Kitty Hawk Bay.
We’re already reminiscing about duck season! Lots of y’all who ventured out yesterday for the last day of the season were able to score a few Wood Ducks, including a banded one! Shop Employee Josh Mallory and his dad scored a Swan.
