Speckled Trout, Rockfish & Stripers!
We hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and a happy new year! We are so excited to see what 2025 brings!
The fishing reports have been all over the place the last week or so with various fish being caught and conditions continuously changing! Recent reports include Speckled Trout being caught on the western side of the sound as well as the usual spots in the local backwaters. We’ve also gotten some reports of a few Rockfish/Stripers biting.
There was a good Puppy Drum/Overslot Drum bite from Frisco to Ocracoke over the last couple of days. Black Drum and a few Bluefish have also been reported from Avon down to Ocracoke.
While the Bluefin Tuna haven’t quite made their way down to us in big numbers yet, there was a handful of boats that found some good Yellowfin fishing offshore this past weekend!
