Can you believe it’s already August? Summer is flying by! The fishing action continues to be as hot as these summer temperatures!

Surf fishing has been steady with Spot, Croaker, Sea Mullet, Bluefish, and some scattered Puppy Drum. We’ve heard of some good reports of Drum caught down and around Oregon Inlet Bridge recently as well. The piers are also catching lots of Sea Mullet, Spot and a few Sheepshead.

The inshore fishing has also been consistent with lots of Drum and Trout. There have also been some Bluefish and Sheepshead as well. The nearshore boats have been reporting Drum and Ribbonfish.

It’s been good Bullfish fishing recently as well. Good luck to all the local boats heading to Ocean City, MD for the White Marlin Open! We look forward to seeing y’all’s catches and to your return for the annual Alice Kelly and Pirates Cove Billfish Tournament next week!
