Surf Fishing Has Picked up

Inshore from Oregon Inlet
Corolla to Nags Head Surf

The weather and fishing forecast for this week turned out to be even better than what we initially expected!! Fish were caught all up and down the beach. Thank you to all who took the time to share your fish with us!

Surf fishing really picked up this week! Jacob stopped in with his Dad earlier in the week and we were able to hook him up with a new rod, which he was able to use to catch a Bluefish and a bunch of Sea Mullet! Nick Burdyck caught a nice Puppy Drum yesterday near Ramp 55. Rosie Heinemann caught a Black Drum and a Blowtoad off Rodanthe Pier with Amanda Morris who caught a flounder. Shop Employee Kyle and our friends Matt and Lucas spent the afternoon down south yesterday and caught some nice Puppy Drum and Sea Mullet!

As surf fishing continues to pick up, inshore fishing is still popular for many anglers. @gdawgson started his week off catching a stellar Catfish on Monday! Everett caught 2 Catfish today as well!!  Caleb caught a nice Bass on Colington!

It’s safe to say this was a memorable Spring Break for our younger friends who spent their time off of school catching fish. It’s not over yet though! We anticipate more fish to be caught this weekend.

Tomorrow also marks the first day of youth Turkey season! Good luck!
