Surf fishing is heating up with the unseasonably warm weather we have been experiencing. We just received a photo of a nice Puppy Drum that Joe caught today, he was fishing ramp 4 at Oregon Inlet! Down south there has already been reports of Big Drum at the point and Ocracoke Island. Puppy Drum, Sharks, a handful of Sea Mullet and Bluefish are starting to show up to the south as well!

Big Speckeled Trout and Puppy Drum are still being caught on the western side of the Pamlico. We weighed in a 6.4lb Trout caught by Eric on Thursday, and a 6.8lb Trout caught by Lawrence on Friday! We have heard reports of some small Trout being caught at Little Bridge already, as well as some Striper still being caught around the Manns Harbor Bridges.

It's not to late to go catch a giant Bluefin, there are still plenty of them around for catch and release. We have received reports of Blackfin, Kings, and a few Wahoo being caught Offshore as well!
