TW's Daily Fishing Report 03/09/2015
In Summary:
It’s another beautiful day on the Outer Banks folks! Looks like today the winds should stay light out of the south and could reach up to 60 degrees. The ocean this morning is like a sheet of glass and the offshore boats are headed back to the stream in search of the big Bluefins. Hopefully this afternoon we will have good reports and great stories!

Surf Fishing Report:
The Northern Beaches which include Corolla through the Nags Head area there have been a handful of Dogfish and Skates. The water temp is still very cold reading in the high 30’s depending where you are in the area. Doesn’t mean they don’t bite though! Once you venture south towards Hatteras you will start to see more activity with the slightly warmer water. At times there has been very good Puppy Drum fishing.
Sound Fishing Report:
The sound fishing the past few months have been very slow. With this warmer weather the sound fishing should start to kick off soon! The Puppy Drum fishing around the inlet, on the flats and in the channels could happen tomorrow!
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Closed
Nags Head: Closed
Jennette’s: Few Dogfish and Skates
Outer Banks: Closed
Inshore Boats Report:
To be honest, we have not had many reports at all from the inshore guys. The inshore fishing is very tough without stripers over the winter. It won’t be long until the bluefish show up!
Offshore Boats Report
Its Bluefin time! The days that have been passable through the inlet, the bluefins have been found. Yesterday was a good day for many with the average size of fish increasing from the day before. There were a few Bluefins caught that were ranging from 90 to 100 inches. That’s a Giant! We’ll see what today brings!
Sonny Albarty decided to find warm weather along with this nice PERMIT in Florida! Go ahead buddy! Not many people can say they have checked that off their fish list!
