Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

In Summary:

It’s warm again!!! As spring draws closer, every week seems to be a little more bearable and more fish start emerging. Shortly after I woke up, I realized how flat and fishy the ocean looked today! Unfortunately, I have to work or else I would be in search of fish. Stop by today and get rigged up for your quest!

Surf Fishing Report:
The beaches from Corolla to Nags Head reported Dogfish and Skates. Water Temp is still in the high 30’s but hey, there is still something to pull on! Down south towards Hatteras there were some Puppy Drum reported. Sounds to me like ramp 49 was some of the best of it.

Sound Fishing Report:
The sound fishing the past few months have been very slow. With this warmer weather the sound fishing should start to kick off soon! Won’t be long until we start seeing Puppy Drum and Trout showing up!

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Closed

Nags Head: Closed

Jennette’s: Few Dogfish and Skates

Outer Banks: Closed

Inshore Boats Report:
No reports from inshore boats yesterday evening or this morning. If conditions continue to stay warm, this will not be the case much longer.

Offshore Boats Report
It was another successful day offshore yesterday! A decent number of Bluefins were caught between the boats out of Oregon Inlet as well as Hatteras Inlet. Some boats caught as many as 5 to a boat. From what I have seen, there is a wide variety of sizes. Your explosion behind the boat could range from a 60 pounder to as big as 800 pounds, but you’ll never know until you go!
