Offshore from Oregon Inlet
Inshore from Oregon Inlet
Corolla to Nags Head Piers
Corolla to Nags Head Surf
Corolla to Nags Head Sound

In Summary:

So far this morning it has been a hazy/overcast day here on the Outer Banks with the air temperatures in the mid 40’s. The winds today are fairly light around 10kts out of the northeast and water temperature is hovering right around 43 degrees. In my opinion, the perfect concoction for an early spring fishing day! Fish bite good on days with low light and moderate temperatures for the time of year.

Surf Fishing Report:
Here around town today we have heard of some Dogfish and Skates being caught and released. They are always lots of fun to pull on this time of year when you’re dying to fish. From what we have heard so far today, there have been some Puppy Drum caught around the Point as well as on the beaches of Ocracoke.

Sound Fishing Report:
Slow going here lately. It’s bound to happen in the next week or two!

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Closed

Nags Head: Closed

Jennette’s: Few Dogfish and Skates

Outer Banks: Closed

Inshore Boats Report:
Very similar report to the sound fishing. Not many people have tried it lately. Soon though, very soon!

Offshore Boats Report
Nobody that I’ve heard of fished out of Oregon Inlet yesterday, However, there are a handful of boats that headed east today. From what it sounded like on the Radio, there were a few Bluefins caught today but the boats have not made it back to the inlet so the class of fish is undetermined as of now.
