Surf Fishing Report:

Trout fisherman everywhere this morning. Trout are best caught early at first light and late afternoon. Plenty of Trout are being caught and some keepers. There are a couple of really good sloughs on the north side of the Nags Head Pier. Scattered, Bluefish, Sea Mullet and few Puppies along our beaches.

The winds are SW at 7 and the water temp is 66 degrees.

 

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported a few keeper Trout, keeper Drum and small Stripers. I had a report of Stripers in the Croatan Sound around the Bridge.

 

Pier Fishing Report:

Avalon: One Red Drum, a few Puffers, and small Bluefish. Caught and released 8 Drum yesterday.

Nags Head: Bluefish, Blow Toads, small Trout, and one Red Drum.

Jennette’s: Bluefish, Black Drum, Trout and Puffers.

Outer Banks: Puppy Drum, a keeper Flounder, small Trout, Black Drum and Puffers.

 

Inshore Boats/Nearshore Report:
Inshore anglers had another good day catching a smorgasbord of fish.

The anglers decked Gray Trout, Triggers, Sea Mullet, Sea Bass and plenty of big Drum releases. Nearshore had another good day of Bluefish action, Albacore and Sea Bass.


Offshore Boats Report:
The blue water fleet had an astrophysical day on the water yesterday bringing in limits of Dolphin, limits of Yellowfin and a significant amount of Blackfin and a few Wahoo. There was a White Marlin release.
