Surf Fishing Report:

We had a whopping big rain and thunderstorm early this morning. I hope that is over for the day but probably not. Today is the sign up for the annual Alice Kelly Tournament.

Spanish showed at ramp 44, Avon reported Bluefish, Sea Mullet and Pompano. Ramp 49 in Frisco had citation Sea Mullet and Pompano weighed in.
Austin sent word the Mullet was everywhere in Southern shores and the sand fleas were plentiful and it was the only thing the Mullet would bite.

Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported catching bottom fish and a few Trout.

Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Slow.
Nags Head: Blues and Mullet.
Jennette’s: Blues and Spot
Outer Banks: Sheepshead, Spanish, Mullet and Bluefish..

Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:
Nearshore anglers decked Amberjack, Spanish, Ribbon fish and Drum. Sound fishing remains good for catching Trout and Puppy Drum.

Offshore Boats Report:
There were full coolers for everyone. We finally have a day I can say was lots of action. There were Blackfin, Yellowfin, and Wahoo, some Mahi and for bottom fishing Tilefish and Grouper. Also White and Blue Marlin releases.

The winds are NE at 7 and the water temp is 68 degrees. Sunny, light winds, small swells.
