Surf Fishing Report:
Some Pompano and Sea Mullet along the beaches. Kenny Casper caught the nice Flounder in Nags Head. Get your Flounder rigs ready. The season will began Saturday and it is a short season. It only last until 9/30/20.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported catching a mix of Stripers, Flounder , Black Drum, Trout and Drum.
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Mullet.
Nags Head: Spot, Mullet and Sheepshead
Jennette’s: Banded Rudderfish, caught a 42 in Cobia yesterday.
Outer Banks: Sheepshead.
Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:
Nearshore anglers reported Amberjacks, Albacore and Ribbonfish. Trout fishing in the sound is outstanding and some inshore anglers have come up on some schools of really huge Drum recently.
Offshore Boats Report:
It was the second day of the Billfish tournament and its all going well. There has been a significant amount of Sailfish, Blue Marlin and white Marlin caught and released.
The winds are SE at 5 and the water temp is 64 degrees. Sunny, light winds, flat Ocean.
