Surf Fishing Report:
There were Croakers and Sea Mullet scattered and the exciting news a lady caught a 52 inch Drum at ramp 44. The weekend was pretty much a washout for us but I heard of Sea Mullet on sand fleas and some Spot. Today is a different story. The wind has switched, the Ocean is rough.
Dont't forget when you send pictures, send names and any other info you might have like where are you fishing, where did you come from, what did you catch and etc.
Sound Fishing Report:
The Little Bridge on the Nags Head/Manteo causeway reported a lot of people trying for Flounder and I heard of one 17 in keeper caught. There were also Trout, Black Drum, Croaker and Sheepshead
Pier Fishing Report:
Avalon: Spot.
Nags Head: Blues, Sea Mullet and Spot.
Jennette’s: Sea Mullet.
Outer Banks: Sea Mullet.
Inshore Boats/nearshore Report:
It was the first day of Flounder season and everyone was trying their luck. I understand the Inlet boats did pretty well.
Offshore Boats Report:
It was not the best of weather for the fleet this weekend but they hung in and caught Some Dolphin and Yellowfin, a few Wahoo and more than enough Tilefish.
The winds are NW at 14 and the water temp is 74 degrees. Sunny, windy, choppy swells.
