Fishing is slow on our beaches. On the south beaches, Avon is catching a few Puppy Drum; Buxton caught Trout and Puppy Drum and ramp 43 loads of Bluefish. Jennette’s Pier is still catching Dogfish.
Oregon Inlet had one boat to sail yesterday and returned with Blackfin Tuna.
It is time to start thinking about your 2016 beach driving permits.
The 2016 annual permit will be valid from the date of purchase through Dec 31, 2016. Permit offices are open 8 a. m. to 4:30 p. m. seven days a week year-round except Christmas Day.
There are two types of permits: 7-day/$50 permits (valid from the date issued) and
Annual/$120 permits
You can get your permits on line. It is easier than having to go to one of the 3 stations designated for ORV permits.
