All beaches are catching Skates and Dogfish. South of us, fishing picked up yesterday. Anglers caught Sea Mullet, Puppies, Flounder and Trout. There was a big Trout bite in Avon with some pushing up to 7 lbs.
Here is a thought for the anglers arriving for Christmas. Anglers fishing from the catwalk on the south end of the Bonner Bridge should have good luck catching keeper Stripers, the best fishing will be at night. Fishermen dangle lights from the bridge close to the water’s surface to attract small bait which attracts the larger stripers.
The winds are SW at 11 and the water temp is 58 degrees
